C4D Windows 2024 is a plugin for Cinema 4D with which you can create windows for architectural visualization.
With this specific window maker you can create over 67 different window styles.
It supports 6 basic window types (arch, rectangular, round, trapezoidal, triangle and balcony).
With the extensive GUI you can build many window types.
Add Top Lights and Bottom Lights, give your windows that extra something with bars (not for all elements).
To cut out the window immediately, you can create the corresponding Boolean object.
Give the frame, glass, handle and window sill their own materials or use the already created texture tags.
Open windows or tilt them, change their opening direction (left, right, top, bottom) or declare them fixed (not for all elements).
Particularly difficult shapes such as arches and pointed arches can be corrected with the Subdivision Fixer algorithm.
The integrated preset management makes it easier for you to quickly save frequently used window types and load them again when you need them (very useful for older Cinema 4D versions).

This is a QUICK GUIDE on how to fix problems with the description elements in the window plugin after you uninstall the previous version and want to install the update of the plugin.
Cinema 4D saves caches for the plugins. If elements have changed, incompatibilities may arise.
Parameters are e.g. zeroed out or can no longer be operated or are displayed incorrectly.
- - Step 1: Remove the old version of the Windows plugin from your plugins folder.
- - Step 2: If Cinema 4D is open, open the Cinema 4D preferences "Edit/Preferences" and open the preferences directory.
Or type in your browser:
C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Maxon\
and open the folder of your Cinema 4D Version - - Step 3: Close Cinema 4D if it is open.
There are now 2 methods to delete the caches:
Method 1: Delete all files and folders in the prefs folder except for the CINEMA 4D file and any template files
Method 2: You delete all folders in your preferences directory except for the library and plugins folders.
However, all presettings that you have made in your Cinema 4D preferences will also be deleted like textur paths, undo steps etc.
So I recommend method 1
- - Step 5: Install the new Windows plugin to your plugin folder
- - Step 6: Restart Cinema 4D
