description

SkyBlox is a straightforward, semi-modular plugin for Cinema 4D to quickly assemble realistic buildings for exterior architectural visualizations, scene extension, or background renderings in just a few clicks.

Skyblox’s great strength is its expandability with new various types of buildings via Expansion Packs available at the Expansion Marketplace.

The Starter-Pack includes 5 realistic buildings.
SkyBlox uses the so-called Triplex 3-Layer System. Every building consists of 9 modules: 3 basements, 3 mid-levels, and 3 tops. You can choose between these 3 variations for each section, stack the mid-levels infinitely high, and customize the roof and basement styles. This allows you to quickly achieve different varations of a building.

Asset Manager: SkyBlox keeps your core installation lightweight by hosting textures and distance files externally on a dedicated webspace, bypassing Digistore file-size limits and eliminating the hassle of downloading bulky updates. Instead, the built-in Asset Manager handles everything seamlessly, allowing you to download and update your essential textures and distance files with a single click while ensuring your library stays automatically optimized and up to date.

Night-View Mode: Experience your SkyBlox builds like never before with the immersive Night-View Mode, a powerful feature designed to bring your layered structures to life after dark by dynamically activating individual lights level by level with randomized placement for a stunningly realistic night aesthetic. Please note that this high-performance visual feature can be quite demanding on your hardware, as a single building level can easily contain twenty or more individual light sources.

Memory Saving (Master-Slave System): To help keep scenes manageable, copying a building creates a “Slave” instance. This saves material and memory overhead while still allowing you to alter the appearance of individual copies.

SkyBlox is built specifically for Cinema 4D, comes with all ready-to-use materials/assets, and more expansion packs are planned for the future.

Engine Specifications

Generate an infinite number of floors procedurally. The engine automatically handles the entire assembly and guarantees seamless geometric transitions.

Maximum flexibility thanks to the Triplex 3-Layer System: combine three variants each for the ground floor, middle section, and roof to create variations of unique buildings.
Additionally, you have the option to create custom levels using Dividers, allowing you to stack your own geometry between the levels.

Central control for massive scenes. Slaves inherit material and type from the master but retain individual parameters for height and variation.

Integrated interior lighting with random seed control. Create organic night scenes with varying window illumination per floor.

Skyblox is designed as a modular ecosystem. After acquiring the basic set, you can expand your library at any time with Expansion Packs to include new architectural styles. Since SkyBlox is currently still growing, it may take some time for this library to expand.

Skyblox uses a node-locked system (hardware-bound license). Your serial key allows you to register the plugin on up to two computers simultaneously (e.g., a workstation and a laptop). This applies to both private users and commercial entities. To maintain flexibility, you can release your licenses twice a year (every 30 days) to activate them on new hardware. After the initial assignment of the two nodes, you have a one-time opportunity to release and reassign them. Thereafter, this is possible only every 30 days. In special emergencies, please contact info@3deoskill.com. 3deoskill reserves the right to deny activation requests that appear suspicious or unusually frequent.

Good to know:

  • Team Render servers and clients are not affected by the node-lock limitation.
  • This node-lock restriction only applies to the base plugin. Expansion packs are also not hardware-bound. If a studio or company owns 3 or 4 licenses for the base plugin, they only need to purchase each expansion pack once to use it across all their seats.
